Iran has test-fired a long-range missile as part of its Revolutionary Guards military maneuvers, Iranian television is reporting.

The Shahab-3 missile was tested, along with dozens of short-range weapons of various types, the state TV station said on Thursday.

The Shahab-3 missile can carry a nuclear warhead and is capable of travelling almost 2,000 kilometres. That capacity puts it in range of Israel and U.S. forces stationed in the Middle East.
